Where lies our priority as a nation?
In the era where winners of reality shows go away with whooping amounts of money running in millions, our best graduating students are encouraged with little or nothing.
Just recently Miss Joy Omubo who graduated as the best graduating student in Pediatrics 2014/2015 academic session was given a prize of 250 naira by the Paediatrics Association of Nigeria at the just concluded convocation ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt.
Alarming right? We are as shocked as you. However this was confirmed by Dr Tuoyo Fregene a colleague of Miss Joy who twitted about it in his twitter handle @ty_fregz.
Just a reminder: the winner of big brother Nigeria reality show will be going home with 25 million naira and a brand new Kia sorento SUV..
